Exercise Progress + Workout Apps & Videos


I’ve been trying to exercise more which is one of my New Year’s resolutions. It’s hard to get workouts in since sometimes it gets so busy with blogging and the new business. The perfect time to workout is when George is taking a nap – Hurray, for a toddler who loves long naps!

I try to work out 3 times a week, but I’ve only done that one week so far. It’s usually like 2 times a week. I’m soo lazy.  It’s hard to get motivated to work out. But, once I do I feel great afterward. I wanted to look good for the summer (ugh, swimsuit shopping time!) and be healthy. I’m trying to drink more water. Ivan makes sure we eat healthily. I haven’t been eating beef or pork. I still eat chicken, but not that often. Ivan and I eat mostly a plant-based diet.

I like yoga for relaxing and cool down.  I want to work out my arms since they feel so weak. I want to make my stomach and thighs smaller. I haven’t lost any weight yet. I need to work out more. I think more cardio will help.

Workout Apps

Workout Trainer – This is my favorite app which is available for iOS and Android.  It has lots of free workouts.  It’s so easy to search for what kind of workout you want like abs, thighs or legs and even by how long the workout is.  I love how they show you how to do each workout.  They have a pro version which gives you access to the Pro videos, Pro member only forums, and no ads.  They also have workout programs that you can purchase to help you achieve your goal of losing weight, build muscle, improve endurance and more.

Nike+ Training Club – This app has lots of workouts.  You can choose popular, cardio, weights or specific area workouts.  Pick their free program to lose weight, get lean or get strong which gives you a schedule of workouts.

Reverse V Lunges on Sworkit app

Sworkit – Choose your style of workout (yoga, strength, cardio or stretching) and how long the workout. You can also add music through Spotify.
