English Road Trip

Ivan and I chilled at his parent’s house on August 22, 2018. We wanted to spend more time with the boys and pack. Tomorrow, we will be headed on an English road trip.

At 6 pm, we went to eat at Padrino. We love this great Italian restaurant that has reasonable prices. The staff is so friendly. The food is delicious! Ivan and I shared the goat cheese with mushroom and mussels for our starter.

We also got their best pizza Fiorentina and sea bream. It was amazing as usual. George got the kid’s meal. It comes with a big kid-sized pizza which surprisingly George ate again! Theo and George shared George’s chocolate ice cream for dessert.

Family at Padrino in Southend

We loved Padrino – I wish they would open one up in Las Vegas!

We walked along City Beach. We walked through Adventure Island since it’s free admission. George wanted to ride some of the cute rides.

Ivan and I shared our Rossi ice cream with the boys.

Drove back to the house and took it easy.

We packed more on August 23rd and played with George and Theo.

Grandpa with the boys

We grabbed all our luggage and Ivan somehow packed it in the car. No wonder he’s good at Tetris. I don’t know how he fit all our stuff in our little blue rental car.

Road Trip

Ivan, George, Theo and I said goodbye to Denise and Ken. We started driving at noon headed to The Cotswold. This area is filled with lovely countryside villages.

It took us 3 hours to get from Southend to Stow-on-the-wold. We went to the New England Coffee House for tea. It’s a cool coffeehouse. Ivan grabbed a bakewell tart, a flapjack, super fruit tea, and caramel flowers tea.

It was my first time having a bakewell tart and a flapjack. They both were tasty. My favorite was the bakewell tart. I want more!

The coffeehouse was so cool with great decor.

We checked in to The Bell and put our luggage in the room.

Our room had a courtyard outside the room.

The boys in Stow

Went to dinner at The Kings Arms pub for dinner. Ivan and I shared the sweet potato, spinach, corn risotto, and the fish and chips. The risotto was good.
