Berry Chocolate Date Smoothie

I love to make smoothies since everybody in the family likes them and they’re filled with healthy stuff. I decided to create a chocolate smoothie with strawberries.

Ingredients for Berry Chocolate Date Smoothie

I cut up the strawberries and dates.  I used Viva Naturals Organic Cacao powder (Yah, it’s a Mayan superfood!). I used Deglet Noir dates since that’s what I had on hand, but I’m sure Medjool dates would be good, too. Put all the ingredients into the blender and then blend it up to the consistency you like.

Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • ⅓ cup 2% organic milk
  • 6 pitted dates
  • 2 Tablespoons organic Cacao powder
Instructions
  1. Cut up the strawberries and dates.
  2. Place all ingredients into the blender.
  3. Blend it up!

    Hi Auntie Jen!
    I first tried dates last year after my friend decided to do the whole 30 diet. They’re actually really really good and they’re good natural sweeteners! I’ve never really tried a chocolate strawberry shake so I’ll definitely have to try this soon. Looks super good :3

      Eena – They’re tasty and a good source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. They’re great for snacking. I hope you like the smoothie!
